Woody is probably the most well rounded chef we've ever had at the ranch. His resume is quite impressive, but when I asked the most crucial question: Can you make a grill cheese sandwich? His response was, "Oh yeah! When I'm cooking for myself that's one of my favorites, along with macaroni and cheese!" So he's well versed in all ends of the spectrum! Woody was an army brat growing up and attended the Army Rotary Wing Course to become a helicopter pilot. Having sampled many types of cuisine while moving around during his father's military career, Woody was bitten by the culinary bug & enrolled at the Colorado Springs Culinary Academy. He apprenticed at the Pampered Palate in Colorado Springs, Colorado and quickly moved up to Sous Chef/Catering Chef.

His talents shined and he's been Executive Chef for 12 years now in such places as:
• Glenmora Lodge, Crede Colorado
  An upscale Orvis endorsed fly-fishing ranch.
• Oakland House Seaside Resort
  Brooksville Maine
  Where he supervised 10 cooks/apprenticeships and
  represented the state of Maine in Boston for the great
  chefs of New England cooking demonstration.
• Victoria Club, Riverside, California
  Where he managed 10 cooks and oversaw production
  of a high-end private club.
• Hilton Hotel, San Bernardino, California
  Where he was responsible for Hilton quality cuisine for
  a 256 room hotel with fine dining restaurant focusing
  on southwest and eclectic California cuisine.
• Sheraton Hotel, Dallas, Texas
  As an Executive Sous Chef
• Rocky Mountain Greyhound Park
  Colorado Springs, Colorado
  As an Executive Chef where he developed a new menu
  with a broader appeal.
• Pampered Palate, Colorado Springs, Colorado
  As a Sous Chef/Catering Chef.

Not only has he mastered the art of cooking, but he's also just a likeable guy and enjoys meeting and talking with people. He's received rave reviews from food critics, and adoring letters from the people he's served and worked with.
